AirportNearby.com does not require user registration or accounts. When you use our airport search tool, we process the following information:

  • Search queries: The addresses and locations you enter are sent to third-party geocoding services (Mapbox) to convert them into geographic coordinates. We do not permanently store your search queries on our servers.
  • IP address: We temporarily log your IP address for rate limiting and security purposes. This data is stored in server memory only and is not written to permanent storage.
  • Browser information: Standard web server logs may include your browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
  • Local storage: Your search history is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Data Retention

We do not permanently store personal data on our servers. Search result caches are stored in server memory for up to 6 hours to improve performance, then automatically discarded. Rate limiting data is stored in server memory during your session and is not persisted. Your search history is stored only in your browser's local storage and can be cleared at any time.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
